Aren't they cute? My mom and dad were the sweetest couple. This was taken on a river boat cruise during my Bat Mitzvah in China. Unfortunately I wasn't there when this was take because I was sick :(
Funny story behind this one actually, we were supposed to take a picture-my brother and I, for the Tribune on an article about the new children's hospital. but suddenly Asher decided that he was camera shy so my dad had to reset from operating to take a picture with me.
I honestly still feel like he does. He's watching over me and believing in me.
Baseball is part of the fabric of my family. Even before I knew how to spell name (it's Genevieve and very long...) I knew that the White Sox were better than the Cubs. Baseball is something that I remember, despite my dad's insane work schedule, would come home for every single one of my sibling's games. He loved it so much he was even the honorary assistant coach. Baseball season is not the same without him.
This sounds so cliché, but sometimes the sunshine can get me out of any funk, just like my dad used to. I'm not sure if there's a tie between the two, but they both make me feel like everything's going to be okay and that there is good out there.
My hero is the best
He is better than all the rest
My hero doesn’t like to admit
Holler at 3658 m 12001 ft altitude though
I do believe that my second family was in China. Not that I was personally close with them, but because my dad and them had such a close connection, they were like his brothers. Chinese is a way I stay close to him, I still remember the smile on his face when I would voluntarily choose to speak it with him.
Memories...Memories...We used to eat popsicles together on the hot white sand.
She inspired me even before I lost my dad... For the longest time I wanted to be a supreme court judge, I guess not anymore, but knowing that she accomplished her dreams even after losing a parent was really inspiring...
My dad was such a sucker for romantic comedies, especially Love Actually. We went through so many movie adventures together, from old super hero movies, baseball movies, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAl, to Love Actually.
Sometimes I wonder if he'll always know me as my thirteen year old self. But I've changed so much then...
